Love the feel and quality of this swaddle but I find our 2 month old breaks free from it if it is on overnight (and consequently wakes her up). I feel that I wrap her pretty tight in it (makes it around her back before I velcro it shut).So, unfortunately I choose not to use it over night which is what I was really hoping to use it for.

I love that it seems to keep my baby in a deeper sleep and the velcro does seem to keep his arms in okay. But he is 5 weeks and we haven't used it exclusively and the velcro isn't as sticky. He also can ride his arms up under the wings and it bunches at his neck and then kicks his legs until the weighted part is completely off him and down at his feet. He is very strong, but only 5 weeks old and this is supposed to work for 6 months old. Good concept, not the best execution it seems.

I would really like to give this 5 stars because it definitely helps my baby not only to sleep longer but helps her to self settle back to sleep at only 5 weeks of age (she is now 8 weeks old). We saw a big difference on the first night we used it, so much so that I bought a second one. By the end of the first week however, the material was starting to strech in a way that lets her ride her arms under the wings or move enough in a way that gets the wings of the swaddle in her face, which I feel is very unsafe. I watched the nested bean's video on how to properly swaddle prior to the first use and followed the washing instructions. When she goes down she is properly and securely swaddle but just her moving during the night gets it to ride up towards her face. Both swaddles have that problem, I think it is a matter of the breathable premier material being too stretchy, which is frustrating given that they were not cheap.

As far as swaddles go, this one is quite good. Super soft and well made! I’m not sure it changed much in the way of my baby’s sleep habits, but I certainly felt good about putting him in something so soft and breathable. He can definitely wriggle out of it when he puts his mind to it, but most of the time he stays pretty snug in it. Overall a good purchase, would recommend!

The premier swaddle is great! I’m not 100% sure that the weighting makes a difference for my baby, but the quality of the swaddle is excellent. It’s easily adjustable and the Velcro is so strong! It’s also not too hot. Love it!

I love my nested bean swaddle sacks, but I ordered two of the same kind, and one of them seems to be designed a little different as far as the velcro functions. It ends up not being as snug as the other one. Is this just a design flaw on the one? I’m not very happy with the one that is like that. The other one I received fits wonderfully though and I love it!

The bamboo material is super soft. My 11 week old has been wearing the sack for a couple weeks now and loves it. Seems to hold up well in the wash too. They are kind of pricey so it gets washed a lot until I can afford another.

He didn’t like the swaddle. He’s slept in his halo sleep sack swaddle since he was a week old and I was hoping this one would work for him but he didn’t like it and he is too big for the halo swaddle now. I’m hoping to be able to transition him out of a swaddle all together and hoping the nested bean sleep sack will work for him. Fingers crossed.

This swaddle is beyond adorable and it is really soft and light weight fabric. My baby is a little heater and gets hot easily, so the light fabric is perfect for him.
It hasn't worked for us as far as him sleeping in his own bed. I still use it and like it.

Overall it's a good swaddle. Very lightweight and soft. I didn't notice any difference in my baby's comfort level or happiness due to the weighted bean patches... but that could just be his personality because having my hand on his chest doesn't do anything for him either. Also, he was able to wiggle out of it pretty easily and I would find him with either his arms popping out of the top or the bottom of the arm swaddle, and sometimes would find the bean patch all the way down around his legs from him constantly kicking at it. He may just be over being swaddled but he doesn't sleep unless he is so... we're now searching other brands to see what will work for him!

I use it for my two month only every night he has always been a good sleeper but with the swaddle he will go for a 4-5 hour stretch followed by three hour stretches for a breastfed baby that’s amazing! I just ordered a second one and a sleep sac!!!

Was very hopeful It ll help my now 3 months old girl. I think we purchased it a month ago or more. The very first nap in the swaddle was good and I thought our problems with sleep are gone. But later on it didn't make any difference. She wakes up after a 30 min nap because her legs are flailing from Moro reflex. I have to hold her legs and pat her to reduce the moro reflex. But the swaddle doesnt help with it even though i am convinced that she wakes up because of a strong Moro reflex.

I just purchased a second one. The swaddle looks amazing. The fabric is really high quality and it is made with a lot of attention to detail. The weight really seems to help my little one to stay asleep when I put her down (she is 9.5 weeks and cannot self settle yet).
It would be great if it were easier to hold the swaddle in place while putting it on. She wiggles a lot. This would also make it easier to get it on real tight. One arm often manages to escape after an hour or two.

This item works as well or better than the reviews I read claimed it would! My little boy would only sleep for any decent amount of time if on mommy. I decided to take a chance on the weighted sleep sack and now I tell everyone I know how it amazing it is! Truly from the first night we had it, when baby was 5 weeks old, he slept in his bassinet in 4 hr shifts. Over the next couple weeks he’d go up to 6 hrs at a time, and now another couple weeks later he’s been sleeping through the night. I believe that this is all mostly due to him sleeping wrapped up in a weighted sleep sack, keeping him cozy. Once he outgrows this one, I’ll get him the handsfree one.

I do enjoy the swaddle and especially love the light material as my baby gets hot easily. However when I received it there was a small hole right beside the Velcro and I have been concerned about it ripping further with use. I also emailed customer service about my concern and I never got a response back which I feel is poor customer service.

My mom bought me two while we were trying to figure out how to get my newborn daughter to sleep through the night. I’ve been so sleep deprived that I’ve been desperate for a miracle. The swaddle blanket works great. She falls asleep quicker. But she still wakes up every 2-3 hours to eat. Sometimes she’ll sleep for four hours which is still amazing. She used to always wake up between 1:00 am and 2:00 am every night and stay up for 3-5 hours straight. Now, she doesn’t do that anymore thanks to this swaddle blanket. My only two complaints are minor. My first is that I have other swaddle blankets that have a zipper in the feet so I can change her without completely unswaddling her. I wish this came with the same feature. My second is that my daughter can seriously wrestle out of the swaddle super easy, even when it’s snug. I tried the one arm out thing, but she kept waking herself up. I have a stubborn baby so this may be mostly my problem. Other than that, it’s great. I can’t wait until she’s big enough for the sleep sack.

The product itself is great quality. It's well made; the swaddle holds wonderfully. I love the velcro! However, as a swaddle I find it awkward. I rock my baby to sleep and find it uncomfortable to rock baby in the swaddle; feeling it's swishing into her chest or sides. It's a great product but just not for us.

I did a review earlier before I received it, but I had to do another one now that I have it and have used it for a week or so. I absolutely LOVE our swaddle!! My little one used to wake up a few times a night, mostly because she wanted to be snuggled. She now sleeps through the night until between 5-7:30am (at 3 months)!! I will recommend Nested Bean to everyone and anyone, and it will now be my go-to baby shower gift! Love this swaddle -- it's very well-made and the perfect weight for summertime (like a lightweight jersey t-shirt fabric). My husband doesn't love it, because he feels like the mini pocket is too small for our son (6weeks), but the larger section is too large. But I don't agree. I think the weighted sections really help with the "wiggles!" Overall, glad I bought this.

Our little one seems to like the bean, which provides her some comfort and has helped her sleep through the night. For the last week she has been sleeping from about 9pm to anywhere between 4 and 6am! Amazing! I find it pretty simple to tuck her into this, having watched the instructional video.

Was desperate and put all my hope in this product! I'm a pediatric nurses, so we had been swaddles from day one. I was hoping that the weighted center would help calm our little one. However, it just wasn't right for us. After three days of her fighting every time we put it on her , we went back to our regular swaddle technique. It is nice material with strong Velcro. I can definitely see how it might work for us. But, now we are 7 weeks in and sleeping through the night. So, hang in there Momma's! I think some little ones just need a little more time to adjust to a routine!

I love love love this swaddle. I had few when I started swaddling my baby boy and went back to nested bean because of couple things. 1) love the cotton. Fabric is durable and soft 2) arms in and out. My baby loves his arms out but kept waking up initially b cause of startle so it helped to soothe down to sleep and he took arms out when he wanted 3) price is fair to the quality . Def recommend

I found an ad one of our first sleepless nights at home and recalled how the nurses in the NICU had used the beanbag weights to help calm the babies. I figured we would try one. It really has worked for us. She is calming down when we put it on her and allowing her to sleep for longer stretches for which we are thankful. She fits perfectly by using the newborn pocket. Now that we have discovered how much she loves it, it's our go to swaddle above my others.

Would be nice to have a zippered opening in the bottom half for middle of the night changes. Now the entire thing needs to be taken off and put back on.

So, my first daughter loved to be swaddled when she slept. We were basically swaddling all day long for the first 3 months. She was a strong one and always broke out of them. We spent hours finding different swaddling techniques via YouTube. After about a month we figured we spent hours a day swaddling and all hours of the night. My mother in law bought us this as a gift and we never used it until that month. After that one use that was all we used for the next two months. It saved us lots of time, and more time sleeping for us and baby. At the end it was all used up holes and ALL. We washed it about 5 times a week or more. Our only regret was not having 5 of these swaddles and using this swaddle from birth. Second child coming in July. If he is the swaddle type I'm buying 3 more. They are exspendsive so I don't want to buy more then I have too. But worth every penny let me tell ya!!!

We've only used it one night so far. Worked great to keep her little arms swaddled and she didn't break free like she normally does. Wouldn't say it helped with sleeping tho as she was still tossing and turning most of the night. Also disappointed in the length, she's 4 months and I didn't realize I should have bought a bigger size as she is almost too long for it. Shipping also took quite some time. Overall I like the idea of it but not sure I'll buy the next size up or not.

Love this! After a couple days we went from getting up multiple times/night to sleeping from 10pm-4am straight! That is amazing when you feel like a zombie! Honestly she has been better too and seems well rested and can hangout with us without seeming "irritable." Even if you're on the fence this thing is worth it!

I bought this when the other swaddles became to small for my son who was born 22.25 inches long and then grew to 25 inches by his two month birthday. He always managed to kick out of the swaddles and we purchased this one in hopes that it would work. It did! Until he decided he just didn't want to be swaddled anymore. The print is adorable and the feel of the material is perfect. I would definitely buy again and I have told others to buy as well.

This product did help improve his sleep but their are a few flaws to the design! My little guy is only 7 weeks and he can kick the bottom of the sack until the nested bean (chick) comes down his chest to his belly button. Also by 1am one arm is out and by 5 am both arms are out. I find the wrap parts aren't wide enough for the length of his body and the top of the sack isn't quite fitted enough so it tends to be loose. So one arm always goes out the top and the other goes out the bottom! This is frustrating as then i feel it is unsafe to leave him like this and I have to undo and redo it in the middle of the night but the Velcro wakes him up!

Game Changer!!
Absolute game changer, our son was a terrible sleeper unless he was being held or your hand was on his chest. The swaddle sack helped to create 5 hour stretches of sleep and then entire nights especially when warmed in the dryer. Would recommend to everyone and even buy them as baby shower presents for all our friends and family.

This swaddle came recommended by our lactation consultant and I am so glad we got it. We tried SO MANY different swaddles and my daughter fought them ALL tooth and nail. This is the only one that even came close to pacifying her in the slightest bit. Highly recommended!

I got one of these as a gift when my daughter was born, and initially I thought it was a little silly to think that sewing little beanbags into a swaddle would make a difference. But my daughter really liked it, so much that I ended up buying two more, and giving them as gifts to other moms at baby showers. I also love that one size fits through six months (well, through size 6m -- obviously this will depend on your baby). Definitely recommended!

I think it really helps my 3 week old stay asleep longer and go down quicker after night feedings. I love how soft and cozy it is, and the double pocket options for tiny/bigger babies is great. Best swaddle on the market!
Let me start by saying we could not live without this swaddle. My daughter has been sleeping through the night since she was a month old, and I attribute it to this swaddle. We have tried other brands of velcro swaddle, as well as other popular brands of swaddle and she just cries until we put her in her zen swaddle then she is right to sleep. We were given our swaddle as a gift and it was the older model the small medium size, I just ordered her a new one in the small to large size that fits babies up to 6 months or 18lbs. We will never use any other brand of swaddle again! As long as I have babies they will be Zen!

Zen Swaddles are my little man's favorite ones. They cost more than some swaddles but you get what you pay for because these are quality swaddles. Here's what I love about them:
1. Super duper soft Peruvian cotton. Seems to get better after each wash.
2. There is a little pocket inside that makes these perfect swaddles for babies to grow into. He used the pocket when he was a newborn.
3. It's lightly weighted!!! Probably my favorite part and what makes these different than other swaddles. The little beads just brought a little extra comfort to him, he thought I was there holding him.
4. The soft big huge velcro. This makes it easy to swaddle them up fast because the velcro strips are so big.
5. This is much safer than receiving blankets and definitely the way to go. It's also great for babies with colic [like mine].
Cute packaging and perfect for gifts. My only suggestion is when washing it to velcro it shut.

Really does lengthen infant sleep!
The Zen swaddle is made of really soft cotton. I've used it since day one at the hospital (it was the one swaddle I packed in my hospital bag!) and now my baby is seven weeks old. I have found that the classic swaddle seems a bit stretchier than the premier swaddle. The weighted panels really do soothe my baby. During our first weeks, we switched between different swaddles (wrapping in a blanket, as well as different brands such as SwaddleMe, Halo, Nuroo) and found we had the most success with achieving deeper sleep due to the weighted panels. The SwaddleMe and the Nuroo's designs are similar in the way the baby is wrapped. The Halo's sleepsack design with a zipper makes it very easy to keep a tight swaddle. However, it was a two step process that I don't necessarily believe helped with the night time changes. So, for ease-of-swaddle, I believe all the swaddles are pretty much equal.

It's a very well made product and the idea behind it is wonderful, but it didn't work for my baby. She likes to sleep swaddled but she fights it at the beginning. Because the fabric of Zen is too soft she gets her palms out of swaddle's neckline in 5 minutes and starts screaming being uncomfortable. We have to stick to regular flannel blankets, they keep her calm. But we have friends who swear by this product and their son loves it.
