Very disappointed. My baby is 4 months old and kicked her way out of this swaddle in about 1 minute. There’s no way to secure the front portion to the sides. I think this is meant for very small babies that don’t kick.

The stretchiness of the swaddle is helpful for swaddling baby in, however it’s so stretchy that’s she’s easily able to wiggle her arms out of being swaddled. We don’t have this experience with the other brand of swaddle we use (which sadly doesn’t come with the weighted bean).

I love the weighted concept, and the little infant pouch…But I am very disappointed as one is already ripping near the Velcro fastener, and I have found on both the swaddles I bought, the wrap/wings part stretched out quickly, and don’t allow for a tight swaddle. I love the feel of the swaddle, and the weighted areas for extra soothing comfort. However, it seems to slide up and cover my baby’s mouth and not stay on properly. Usually with other swaddles there is a velcro piece in the middle to secure it in place but this brand does not and so he will kick it out of place quite easily. For this reason I’m not super satisfied with the product. Three stars - if there was a way to secure the middle I think it would be a five star product.

Lovely material, and easy to use. The claims about improving sleep were not true for us, and we have now used this for two children, But as long as You are not looking for a quick fix it’s a decent sleep sack. I wish it had a jacket type bodice, the way that halo swaddles have, as when you swaddle with arms out it has a tendency to wriggle down the body. In my opinion, halo still makes a superior product, but these are a close second

Our newborn would break free from every swaddle - i went through at least 6 other brands and swaddle methods before ordering the Nested bean. It was really the perfect swaddle - the two different sizes on the newborn sale was exactly what we needed and the design along with the velcro used guaranteed that she hasn't yet managed to free herself! We're very happy. I hope the other models work as well as she gets older!

My daughter loves the swaddle, but her daughter at three months can wiggle her arms up and the wrap part ends up on the upper part of her chest and the weighted part ends up down around her belly. She would really like it if the Velcro could be down farther on the wrap. We have wrapped her really tight but she always gets her arms up.

How do you really know this thing works? Leave it in the dryer and put another swaddle on because you are too lazy to get the Nested Bean. Then regret it half way through the night because your 2 month old baby is waking up every 30 minutes. After running downstairs to get it and swaddle him he did his usual 3 hours!

We bought this swaddle because of its raving reviews. Our daughter was 4 weeks old and got out of every blanket swaddle we did and would constantly wake herself up by jerking her body as she fell asleep. This swaddle is great for keeping their arms in if you Velcro it really tight but it did not help my daughter sleep. Currently 7 weeks old and still looking!

I love that the swaddle is weighted and I do think this makes a difference, but out of the various swaddles I've tried, I think I do prefer the HALO sleep sack for an odd reason: I can tuck my baby's soother in to it. That sounds weird but, the way the flap folds over when wrapping up my babe, it's slightly curved/angled and I am able to kind of pull it over and tuck in her soother. Some mom's say they like wubanubs for this reason. You can lay the wubanub animal on top of baby and then wrap it in with her in the swaddle, and it ensures the soother doesn't fall out. I think this is quite dangerous. My girl often thrashes about and gets her hands out of the swaddle. I worry she'd pull the wubanub out and it could suffocate her. The individual soother however is much safer for her though, and I can put this in her mouth and hold it against her face, with the wrap of the swaddle. I can't quite do this as easy with the Nested Bean swaddle. Would love that slight improvement.

The idea of using the weight is great, but the swaddle design needs some updates. Most swaddles have velcro on the chest and one on the wrap, making it impossible for baby to unwrap it. The nested bean swaddle only has the one on the wrap so in the night my baby would move and end up with the swaddle up around her neck. There needs to be something to keep it more secure

My baby girl was having trouble sleeping on her own. As soon as we would put her in her bassinet she would wake up crying. Best sleep sacs I have ever used. I have twin boys, and I honestly think these boys went from 3 hrs of sleep , to the 1 twin 8-9 hours and the other twin 6-7 ( he needs his soother) the product is 100% worth the money , I plan to purchase next sizes as they grow and they give the best baby gift!! Great product! She started to sleep better after few days. However, the swaddle is too small, it says 0-6 months and my baby is 3 months and it won’t fit soon.

My daughter was only giving me 2-3hr stretches. This meant only 1-2hr sleep in between feeds. With the zen sleep swaddle we can get 5-6hr stretches and she’s only 4 weeks old when we bought the swaddle. I definitely recommend this product.

The Zen swaddle wrap definitely helped with my daughters sleep, she would startle herself awake whenever I would set her down In her crib. Now with her arms securely wrapped she doesn’t wake as easily when setting her down. She still only sleeps 2-3 hour stints and I’ve been using it for 4 weeks now.

Our son does calm down quickly with this swaddle, however he is very 'wiggly', and can always get his legs out. The interior (weighted part) is not velcro-d to anything like some other swaddles we have used. His wiggling is able to get that middle right off no matter how tight we do the top up. Three stars because I like that it is bigger/longer, and because I like that you can wear with the arms out.

We have bought countless swaddles for our newborn and this is the only one worth keeping. He is now 7 weeks old and does not like being swaddled but he sleeps much better if he is. Right now we are transitioning with 1 arm out. We also bought a sleep sack which we havent tried yet but looks great. The garments are very high quality. Above and beyond other swaddles in terms of material, quality and function. I'm impressed!

My 2-month old daughter would wake up at least 5 times per night until I started swaddling her with the nested bean zen swaddle. Now she only wakes up once or twice. She also sleeps longer! She’s more rested and in a great mood when she wakes up. I’m convinced there is fairy dust in this swaddle.

We purchased the zen swaddle and the the zen sack for our 1.5 month old as he would fuss often throughout the night (after being fed, changed and rocked back to sleep he’d continue to wake up after being put back in his bassinet) so we were excited to try the swaddle when it came it. That night he only woke up twice during the night to eat! He continues to sleep so well with the swaddle. We haven’t tried the sack yet but I know it’ll be just as great. Love the material and overall look of the Zen swaddle sack. BUT I must say that it does not hold up to my standards. My little one is able to wiggle himself out of the sack, no matter how tight I pull the swaddle. I feel as though the material is to stretchy. Hoping it will work better once we are out of the swaddling phase.

This swaddle is actually amazing. My 7 week old has been fussy when in other swaddles, and when she used to wake up, that was the end of that nap, no matter how short.
I put her in the Classic Zen Swaddle this evening.. she has been sleeping soundly since! Woke up for her feeds and then straight back to sleep (which was desperately needed after a restless morning/afternoon). I would definitely recommend this swaddle to any Momma who has a baby that struggles to fall and stay asleep.

Our baby constantly wriggles out of the bottom part of the Nested Bean through the night. So while it’s on properly, it’s great. But it doesn’t stay fitted as designed with our little squirmy one.

Great quality fabric. The weighted pieces do seem to hold some sort of sleep magic in them. My baby unfortunately can pull the fabric up over her face, despite us pulling it as tight as we can. I use this only for daytime naps when I can see her in the monitor. The leg portion is a bit short I find (the longest leg portion).

This is such great quality - the material is so soft and comfortable! I love how it is weighted both on the chest and at baby’s sides, so it’s like they’re being held close. My two month-old granddaughter has slept through the night (5-7 hours) since I bought this swaddle for her about 6 weeks ago. My daughter puts her down awake in her crib, puts on her white noise machine and baby babbles to herself for a few minutes before falling asleep. My only lament is that I didn't buy two, so they could be switched out easier on wash day, but that's okay as I'll make sure to buy a couple of the bigger ones in a month or so. I highly recommend this product.

The zen swaddle is absolutely great. The only thing I would change on it would be I’d put a zipper on the sac part for easy diaper change. It’s a bit annoying having to unswaddle mid feed when baby is half a sleep to change a poop diaper that happens during a feed. Baby tends it wake up fully when I have to unswaddle him to change.

I purchased this for our second daughter shortly after she was born. Like her sister before her she would struggle to be free of a regular swaddle. While the design looks great, I feel that it really made no difference in the sleep of our daughter, as her sleep patterns have completely followed her sister's, who did not have this product. She also figured out how to "escape" quite early (around 5.5 weeks) with one hand pushing up and coming out the top and one going down and coming out the bottom no matter what, or who puts her in. Her efforts pull the velcro strips off of the back. Either she is ridiculously strong for a baby, or the product does not hold up as well as the price tag would suggest it should. At 8 weeks she has also almost reached the limit of length when stretched out completely. I had high hopes for this product, but honestly I am slightly disappointed and do not feel it lived up to the hype.

Bought this for my 3-week old who was having a hard time sleeping and was awake every 1.5-2hrs. Have not felt the sleep sack has worked. He is a growing little man and went from 7.12 to almost 12lbs in a month so I think that is why he is up more. He eats a lot. I am finally now getting 3he stretches at night and he is 5-weeks. He is still in the sleep sack as it is nice material and seems cozy. Will keep trying but I think for him he wakes because he needs to eat.

The swaddle is wonderful. Love the cotton fabric. Our grandson slept really well. The only problem was when we had to change his diaper in the night. There is no zipper or access from the bottom of the swaddle, so we had to open the velcro. The loud noise startled him and completely woke him up.
I bought a white zipper and sewed it along the bottom seam so there now is access for diaper changes.
Adding a bottom zipper, or a zipper perpendicular to the bottom up the front would be a big improvement.
I will be buying him the sleep sac when he is a little older.

We love the Zen swaddle. The material feels lovely, and our bub settles as soon as we wrap her up. She has learned to self settle since we've started using it, and will sleep for 6h+ stretches. She is 4months now, so we will be transitioning to the sack soon. I wish there was a sack option with sleeves, as her little hands get cold when not covered.
